Brittany Lang biography

Yani is the youngest player in LPGA history to win three career major championships, and is currently ranked #1 in the Women’s World Golf Rankings. So far in 2011, she defended her title at the Taifong Ladies Open on the LPGA of Taiwan Tour. Three weeks later she won the ISPS Handa Women's Australian Open and a week later the ANZ RACV Ladies Masters, both events co-sponsored by the ALPG Tour and the Ladies European Tour. She won again the next week in the first tournament of the LPGA season, the Honda LPGA Thailand.
In 2010, she won the first major championship of the LPGA season, the Kraft Nabisco Championship and then went on to win the Women's British Open. She capped off the season by being named the LPGA Player of the Year.
The momentum for Yani continued on the LPGA in 2009. In addition to winning the Corning Classic, she led the tour in birdies (381). Also in 2009 Yani crossed the $2 million mark in career earnings, achieving that level faster than any other LPGA player.
Her first season on tour in 2008 included a major victory at the McDonald's LPGA Championship, five second-place finishes and four other Top 10s, all of which helped her earn Rookie of the Year honors, reach 3rd place on the official Money List and a second-place ranking on the Rolex Women's World Golf Rankings.
Before joining the LPGA Tour full-time in 2008, Tseng was a Top-ranked amateur in Taiwan from 2004-06. Her amateur career included four wins in the U.S. and 15 other victories worldwide. In 2007 she competed professionally on the Asian Golf Tour and the CN Canadian Women’s Tour where she earned victories on both tours before finishing sixth at the LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament to earn exempt status for the 2008 LPGA season.
